Caring for my Treca

A made-to-measure Tréca bed will provide you with exceptional comfort for years to come. Because every sleep is unique and deserves the best, Tréca advises you on the importance of maintaining and protecting your bedding.

How do I maintain
my bed?

Beyond the mattress, it's important to look after your top-of-the-range mattress and the world of your bedroom.

Clean your comforter and pillows regularly. Simply shake them out and air them well. If the comforter is well aired regularly, it only needs to be washed once a year.

Wash bed linen every two to three weeks at 60 degrees. For people who perspire a lot, bringing home the strong odors of their workplace, we recommend washing sheets once a week.

Don't forget the washable surfaces surrounding your custom bed, such as chests of drawers, bedside tables and lamps, should be wiped down once a week with a damp cloth. Dust mites are also present under the bed. Vacuum the underside of the bed once a month, and ensure that its use as a storage area does not impede air circulation.

Finally, air your bedroom regularly to renew the air and ensure you sleep in a clean, healthy environment.

How to clean my Tréca mattress?

If you want to remove dust to prevent the spread of dust mites, use a soft brush to remove dust from the surface of the mattress and box spring. If you wish to remove a stain, you can proceed as follows: rub gently over the stain with a dry absorbent cloth. Using a damp cloth could damage the upholstery of your custom-made bed and should therefore be avoided.

If the stain persists, you can also proceed as follows.

Step 1: make a paste from white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, then apply the paste to the stained area. Wait for it to dry.

Step 2: Use a soft brush or a dry, absorbent cloth for optimal care.

Step 3: Repeat the operation twice more. Any stains or odours should then disappear. In all cases, to simplify and promote better long-term maintenance, we recommend using a Tréca mattress protector to protect your Tréca bedding.

When should I return my Tréca mattress?

Tréca mattresses are equipped with a winter side and a summer side to offer you a very comfortable welcome adapted to each season.

To prolong the life of your top-of-the-range mattress and ensure ideal comfort, Tréca recommends that you turn it over regularly, i.e. every season and every two months. This action ensures better ventilation, hygiene and maintenance of the mattress fillings to prevent sagging and guarantee longer durability of your bed.
